Last year, the main object creation API's of devices for all versions of Direct3DRM were implemented. There's still quite some work left before rendering can be shown without the help of the native DLL. The main focus of this project will be to implement some important rendering functionalities of the d3drm API, enough to get a static background color drawn on the screen, and go further from there.
