Improving and Porting Carbon Footprint for Google Maps to Safari and Firefox

With global warming on rise, there is an urgent need to cut down our carbon footprints. Recently my city, New Delhi made headlines being one of the most polluted cities in the world. I think everyone should be aware of the amount of pollution they are pushing into the atmosphere so that they can reflect upon their actions. I found this smart extension a great attempt to do so. Therefore I would like to improve this extension and make it available to users who use other browsers such as Safari and Firefox.
