With a small set of base tiles, users will be able to fill large areas of a tile map in a continuous, non-repetitive way, and dynamically edit portions of the randomly filled area to better fit their needs. Also possible with this powerful concept is automatic maze generation, path generation, and much more.
Often users expect a quick way to fill an area of a simple shape, such as a rectangle or circle. While currently possible in multiple steps, there is no way to do this in just one. A shape fill tool will solve this, and pair nicely with the Wang implementation. Users will be able to pick a shape (rectangle, circle, maybe more) and click and drag to fill an area of that shape with a selected tile stamp, random tiles, or Wang set.
