Swift is a high-performance application and system programming language.

Swift is a cross-platform and cross-domain programming language that has quickly become one of the fastest growing languages in history. The goals for Swift are ambitious: we want to make programming simple things easy, and difficult things possible.

Swift is built on LLVM, with the entire compiler stack being open source. Further, all changes to the language part of an open evolution process with the community.

The Swift project also encompasses a variety of tooling initiatives to accompany the language, including a package manager and IDE integration facilities.
