The node previews in the shader editor had been removed when Eevee replaced the Internal render engine. This project ’s aim is to bring it back. Indeed, the demand of a preview area under selected nodes to preview the effects is high. I will write code to put back this feature in the blender sources, taking into account the specificities of the Cycles engine (tricking with AOV).
